As I'm getting further into the PRP, I think I need to change my question a bit, otherwise I think I'm gonna miss the goal completely. So, to be able to keep myself on the right topic, I want to change my question from
Have character archetypes affected the development of characters through various forms of media?
to
How are different character archetypes used throughout various forms of media?
I think with this question, I can more easily give the examples I was hoping to give in the first place while still being able to identify what archetypes are used more than others and expanding on how current archetypes can be used to create new experiences for readers/viewers/gamers.

i think you've formed a better question there. don't worry i've changed my question a gazallion times now... i've forgotton what course i'm doing....
